About ASHRAE Ottawa Valley Chapter
Advancing the arts and sciences of HVAC&R to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world.
Chapter Background
ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment.
The Ottawa Valley Chapter was established in 1952, and supports roughly 500 local ASHRAE members, of which approximately 200 are Chapter members. Our membership is comprised of a diverse group of men and women from the various fields in the HVAC&R and construction industries, e.g., consulting engineers, contractors, developers, facility managers, federal, provincial & municipal government, manufacturers, researchers, sales organizations, students, university, and college faculty.
We hold many Technical and Social events to support our membership. This includes monthly dinner meetings the third Tuesday of the month from September to May, which may include a free technical session, seminary or technical tour. We hold annually Best Ball and Stroke Play golf tournaments, Bowling Social, Curling Bonspiel, Student Career Fair along with many more social events.
